Nobody should have to skip the invitation.
Plus One started with a simple, common problem: an invitation that says "plus one" on it, and no one to bring.
Why we built this
Weddings get RSVP'd alone. Office parties get skipped. Family outings get awkward when you're the only one who showed up without anyone. We built Plus One for the moments in between dating apps and going stag — a straightforward way to bring real, good company to an event, on your own terms.
We're not a dating service, and we're not pretending to be. Plus One is about the event itself: having someone beside you who fits the occasion, makes the evening easier, and leaves when the night is over — or doesn't, if that's where things go. Either way, that's between the two of you.
What we believe
- Company should be a choice, not a compromise. You decide who fits, not an algorithm alone.
- Honesty makes it work. Clear terms, clear rates, clear expectations — for guests and companions alike.
- Safety isn't optional. Every profile is verified before it's listed, every event is reviewed after.
How we keep the list trustworthy.
Every safeguard exists for one reason: so two strangers can walk into an event together and feel completely fine about it.
Identity verification
Every companion confirms a government-issued ID before their profile goes live. No exceptions.
An intro before the invite
Guests and companions message or video-call before confirming anything. You meet the person before you meet at the event.
Two-way reviews
After every event, both sides leave a private review. Patterns of trouble get a profile removed — quickly.
Support during the event
A support line is reachable for the duration of every booked event, for either party.
Clear, upfront rates
Every companion sets their own rate by event type and length. You see the full cost before you confirm — nothing added afterward.
